Kooistra alone in the lead at the Dutch Championships Frisian draughts.
The third round of certainly had some surprises for the public. First, Walinga, who previously led with two strong wins, was knocked off the board by Frans Kingma in the endgame.
Then, in Jelle Wiersma's match against Taeke Kooistra, Wiersma seemed to be the strongest for a long time. But after one little inaccuracy, the unbelievably powerful computer programme Scan indicated a certain win, even if it was still decades of moves away. Kooistra saw this too and found the correct way to win.
Frederik Bos took the win with a breakthrough against Folkert Groenveld.
Dicky van der Meer again played a strong match, this time against Hein de Vries, but made a wrong choice in the endgame. This was mercilessly punished by Hein de Vries who took a tempo advantage and a breakthrough and thus won the game.
Thus, Taeke Kooistra is now ahead of the field with three victories.
