Once a year, the WFD foundation organises the FRYSK! World Championship in Franeker. Sixteen players who have qualified through various qualification tournaments compete here.
The qualifications
Currently there are dire countries where a national championships FRYSK! is played, Italy, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. These three winners will qualify for the FRYSK!
The four Grandmasters and four Masters from the previous Fryslân Open tournament also qualify for the WC FRYSK!
A series of tournaments will also be played at Lidraughts, the winner of this final will also qualify directly for the WK FRYSK!
A day prior to the WK FRYSK! a qualifying tournament will be held, the remaining places will be filled from the final ranking of this tournament.
